[This is a review of the Channel Zero series premiere. There will be SPOILERS.] - Like comedy, horror is incredibly subjective. One person’s Friday the 13th is another’s Tootsie. As such, bringing horror to TV presents a unique set of challenges and risks in making the genre work within a medium that has to elongate and sustain certain key elements like tension, atmosphere, and terror for much longer than your average 90-minute movie....

It’s been nearly a year and a half since Disney and Marvel announced, in October of 2014, that Captain Marvel was among the superhero films being developed for “Phase 3” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is now available in the App Store. The app itself looks good but where it gets interesting is that it was made entirely on an iPad using Codea ($9.99 App Store). Codea uses the Lua programming language and has called the GarageBand of iPad coding for its visual ease of use....

The Cats movie marketing is now calling out its negative reviews, suggesting critics who panned the film are on the wrong side of the equation. Based on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical of the same name, which was divisive in its own right and based on a poetry collection by T.S. Eliot, Cats has been confounding audiences and analysts ever since the first trailer dropped in July. The reception for the film hasn’t really improved since it arrived in multiplexes on December 20....
