At this year’s WWDC, Apple devoted a lot of onstage attention to a revamp of the Notes app in both iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan. One of my favorite additions is inline web link previews. Just paste a URL, and Notes will turn the link into a preview bubble with a thumbnail for the page, as well as a title and description. This got me thinking about the possibility of applying the same functionality to other apps....

Captain Marvel Resurrecting Coulson Explained In the modern continuity of the MCU, Coulson was resurrected by S.H.I.E.L.D. on Fury’s orders using Kree technology under the secretive Project TAHITI. In the current season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., however, it was revealed Coulson is dying from the wound he suffered in The Avengers. As explained by the show, the deal he made with Ghost Rider in season 4 is slowly undoing the healing of the Kree tech that brought him back to life....

Joss Whedon intended to introduce Captain Marvel years ago, in Avengers: Age of Ultron - but Kevin Feige had other ideas. Starring Brie Larson as the titular hero, Captain Marvel is the MCU’s first female-led solo superhero film. So far, it looks set to be another blockbuster hit; IMAX presales are tracking ahead of Wonder Woman or Thor: Ragnarok. Fans really began asking for a female superhero movie back in 2012, in the aftermath of The Avengers....

Supporting character Cat Grant will return to Supergirl for the show’s season 2 finale. In most ways that matter, the series’ transition from CBS to the CW in its second season was practically seamless, with the effects budget hardly being affected and the writing coming from the same creative team, for the most part. In fact, most fans of the superhero series would agree that the transition was for the best since it’s allowed for more crossover opportunities between Supergirl and the other Greg Berlanti-produced DC live-action TV shows, like The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow....

CCP Games’ eagerly anticipated spiritual successor to DUST 514 is coming to PC this year and while very few official details have been revealed about Project Nova, we have learned some of what to expect from the next EVE-based first-person shooter. At EVE Fanfest 2016, a super early alpha build was shown off and made playable, serving as a proof of concept. It has not been showcased since but at EVE Fanfest 2017 we spoke to Jean-Charles Gaudechon who was running point on the game while it was being developed out of the now defunct CCP Shanghai studio....

In Chameleon Run, the twist so-to-speak is you’ll need to switch your color sometimes. When you jump, you need to match the color of your destination. That quirk adds a huge level of difficulty. If you forget to switch, it’s back to the beginning....

Four time Oscar-nominee Annette Bening is joining the cast of Captain Marvel. Brie Larson is set to lead Marvel Studios’ first female solo movie, and production continues to move along in Los Angeles. The set has allowed for the usual amount of photos to leak, all of which focus on Larson in a Kree-version of Captain Marvel’s suit on Earth. Those photos are only highlighting a portion of the movie, as a great deal will focus on the Kree-Skrull war....

A day after the first CarPlay-equipped Corvette headed out to dealers and buyers in the form of the 650HP Z06, General Motors announced that it will be available later this year in two Buick and three GMC models. This adds to the 14 Chevrolet models scheduled to see some CarPlay love this year. CarPlay will be available in an 8-inch display on the 2016 model Buick LaCrosse and Regal, together with the 2016 GMC Canyon, Yukon and Sierra....

Developer CD Projekt Red is making more than one Cyberpunk 2077 game, according to a recent report about the studio. The developer is most famous for The Witcher game franchise that has become popular since the Polish studio took the reigns of its video game series, spawning a heavily-anticipated Netflix adaptation starring Henry Cavill. The studio’s follow-up to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is widely considered to be one of the greatest RPG games ever made, will by Cyberpunk 2077, an adaptation of the popular tabletop franchise Cyberpunk 2020....

To boost sales of Apple devices, Verizon and T-Mobile partnered with Apple on a rebate program in which carriers would give a discount for new devices such as the iPad Pro, iPhone 13, and Apple Watch Series 7. Unfortunately, after a lot of users complained about not getting the proper discount, carriers decided to discontinue the program. Apart from all the social media rage, one of the most important people discussing this controversy was Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman....
