Captain Marvel co-director Ryan Fleck confirms the film has wrapped shooting in California and has only two weeks left of production. Right now, Marvel Studios is preparing for their third and final film of the year with Ant-Man and the Wasp. The movie is poised to do even better than its predecessor as the early Ant-Man 2 reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Though the movie is somewhat isolated from its peers and takes place before Avengers: Infinity War, elements of its small universe will have big ramifications for the MCU....

Marvel fans are gearing up for one of the most exciting dates in their 2017 calendar, as Netflix unveil The Defenders this summer. According to Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, the upcoming Captain Marvel movie will set up Brie Larson’s character as the center of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Phase 4 and beyond. Set in 1995, Marvel’s 21st big-screen adaptation explores the origin story of Carol Danvers, an American Air Force pilot who ultimately becomes part of an intergalactic Kree military team known as Starforce. Captain Marvel reportedly precedes the Guardians of the Galaxy storyline but doesn’t explicitly set up that plot....

The title and cast have been revealed for season 4 of Syfy’s horror anthology series Channel Zero. The new season will premiere later this year. Created by Nick Antosca, Channel Zero is a horror anthology series based on creepypastas, which are horror stories posted on forums and other websites on the internet often with the intention of scaring readers. Each season consists of six episodes and tells a different story, complete with a whole new cast....

The latest MCU movie will officially debut Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, the franchise’s first female headline superhero, before she eventually joins the rest of the heroes in Avengers: Endgame next month. Days before her origin film hits theaters, it gets a marketing boost by getting the seal of approval from the Kardahshian-Jenner matriarch. After a month-long investigation, CBS has fired CEO Leslie Moonves for cause, meaning he will not receive his $120 million severance package. In July, it was reported that Moonves had been accused of sexual harassment by six different women, triggering an investigation by CBS. A further round of allegations forced Moonves to step down as CEO, a position he held since 2003. In his capacity as CEO and chairman at CBS, Moonves had a hand in many of the network’s biggest hits, including 60 Minutes and The Big Bang Theory....

Needless to say, it was a very different climate for the Marvel Cinematic Universe then.
